IKONFORGE

Privacy Notice · 1 September 2026

How we use your information.

This notice explains how IKONFORGE uses personal information provided by customers and professionals during the early marketplace launch.

Information we collect

We collect the contact, location and project or professional details entered in our forms, plus any photos, drawings, portfolio files or messages you choose to provide. Please do not upload original identity documents or information that is not needed for the project.

Why we use it

We use this information to review enquiries, assess professional applications, manage project records, identify potentially suitable professionals, support quotations and communicate about the service. Our usual lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the marketplace. Where the law requires consent, we will ask separately.

Who receives it

Project information is not made public. We share only relevant information with a professional when it is necessary for matching or quoting. Contact details should not be shared before it is necessary and properly agreed. Service providers may process data securely for hosting, storage and essential operation.

Retention and security

We keep records only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, marketplace administration, legal obligations and dispute prevention, then delete or anonymise them. Access is restricted and uploaded files are stored privately.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy of your information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise a right, contact us using the email address through which IKONFORGE contacted you and include your project or application reference.

Updates

We may update this notice as the service develops. The date above identifies the current version.
